Last weekend, Michelle and I stayed with friends at an Airbnb in Indio, CA, to see Night Ranger (they rocked). When we were checking out, my friend needed help signing out of her Netflix account on the home’s TV. We couldn’t find anything in the menu, so I asked Gemini: With your remote control, press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up.
I thought, No way this is going to work, but it did. It opens a secret menu, and we were able to log out of her account. Unfortunately, I did not get unlimited lives in Contra.

Grocery Store Halloween Items
I went grocery shopping at Stater Bros. the other day. They had lots of Halloween-themed items on display. But I couldn’t find any vampire fangs or fake blood. When I was a kid, my mom would let me get a new set of teeth and a tube of fake blood at the beginning of October. Red blood was best. But sometimes they had green blood, which was cool, too. Oh, and remember the little round tub with brown putty to make scars? I could not find any of these items at my local grocery store. I pity the kids today :)

I like using AI to redesign my 2013 Nissan Cube. I always thought they missed the mark by not adding a giant sunroof. The keyboard is just being funny.

Read: Doctor Sleep by Stephen King 📚
📚I enjoyed this book. It’s not as scary as The Shining (fewer ghosties), but I liked the more extended timeline compared to the movie.
I also appreciated watching the relationship between Abra and Dan develop over the years. Much of this is conveyed through telepathy, which would be challenging to make interesting in a film (although the filmmakers who made Escape from Witch Mountain did a good job).
I was hoping for more backstory or origin details about the True Knot and Rose the Hat. Where did they start? Were there more unrelated clans? A chapter on Rose’s transformation, etc.
